Privacy Policy

Bogey Club is a game for fun and bragging rights. We do not collect, hold, process, transfer, or pay out any money for golf pools. If a pool has an "entry fee" or a payout, those arrangements are made privately between pool members, completely outside the app. Bogey Club only stores the numbers a commissioner types in as a convenience for keeping track. We are not a betting, wagering, or money-transfer service.

The only payments we're involved in are optional Bogey Club Pro subscriptions, which are billed by Apple (see Section 6).

Information you give us:

• Account information. Your email address, used to sign you in with a secure one-time code (we do not store a password).
• Profile information. Your display name / screen name, and optionally your full name, a tagline, and your city/state.
• Pool activity. The pools you create or join, your golfer picks, your member screen name within each pool, and whether you've chosen to appear anonymously on a leaderboard.
• Communication preferences. Whether you've consented to receive marketing emails, and the date and version of that consent.

Information collected automatically:

• Device and push information. If you enable notifications, we store a push notification token so we can send you alerts (for example, when one of your picks misses the cut or when picks are about to lock).
• Basic technical information. Standard information needed to operate the app, such as app version and general diagnostic data.

Subscription information:

• If you purchase Bogey Club Pro, our payments partner (RevenueCat) and Apple process the transaction and tell us whether your subscription is active. We do not receive or store your full credit card number.

We use the information above to:

• Create and secure your account and sign you in;
• Operate pools, record picks, and display leaderboards;
• Send you the notifications and emails you've asked for;
• Provide and manage Bogey Club Pro subscriptions;
• Respond to your questions and provide support;
• Keep the Service safe, prevent abuse, and comply with the law;
• Improve and maintain the Service.

We share information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information.

• With other pool members. When you join a pool, your screen name and your picks are visible to other members of that pool (unless you choose to appear anonymously, where that option is offered).
• With service providers who run the app on our behalf, including: Supabase (database and authentication hosting); Apple (app distribution and subscription billing); RevenueCat (subscription management); Expo (push notification delivery).
• For legal reasons, if required to comply with the law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Bogey Club, our users, or others.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will let you know.

We only send marketing emails if you've opted in. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us. You'll still receive essential, non-marketing messages about your account and pools.

Bogey Club Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple account. Apple and RevenueCat handle the payment; we receive only your subscription status. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store settings. See our Terms of Service for the full subscription terms.

• Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and associated personal information from within the app, in Settings.
• Access or correct your information. You can edit your profile in the app, or contact us for help with other requests.
• Notifications. You can turn push notifications on or off in the app's Settings or in your device settings.
• Marketing. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time (Section 5).

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (Europe) or CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any right, contact us at barkbytestudio@gmail.com.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we need to keep certain records to comply with the law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Bogey Club is intended for users 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

We operate the Service from the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information may be processed in a country with different data-protection laws than your own.

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
